Excerpt Chapter “Desert Places”

Have you ever felt like you were in an open field, blind folded? Free yet still bound? Not knowing or understanding the liberation deep within your soul? The Apostle Paul best describes this as (bonds with Christ). Being in the Father’s Womb is an awkward place to be. In the natural that is not possible. Of course, physically, fathers don’t have wombs. But in the Spirit realm we are engulfed in the Father’s Womb where we enter into Trimesters (Stages Of Development) called Desert Places, Character Building, Growth of Unconditional Love, The Incubation Period, The Spiritual Birthing Process, and The No One Can Help You, So Don’t Even Ask Stage where all the elements of Christ’s characteristics are being developed within you for God’s Glory.
I’ve discovered that “In My Father’s Womb” it can sometimes be very dry, dark, extremely lonely, distant and bitter cold. The illogicality or irony of this is that a desert is a particularly hot place but in the womb of the Father whereby you are being “Groomed for Greatness” by God Himself; you can experience a coldness that can only be warmed by the Grace of God’s Love. The desert is usually the place of “wanderment”. Have you have ever felt like you were just walking in spiritual circles? Knowing that you’re on your way to the “Promised Land” but somehow you seem to always be detoured, derailed, delayed, deviated and or deferred. Don’t be discouraged! You’re in a good place. God has a plan for that…as stated in Jeremiah 29:11-12. This is where true revelation and illumination of God’s Word and the Person and Work of Jesus Christ can take place in the core of your inner man. See, while in the Womb of the Father, there are places on the inside of you that only God can get to or bring out of you during this rebirthing process.
In the womb several things take place. Unlike being in a mother’s womb, the trimesters in the father’s womb are quite different. As the Holy Spirit began to minister this message of being in the Father’s womb to me, He directed me to reinvestigate the natural trimesters of the birthing process. He clearly pointed out the number 40. 40 weeks marks the end of the normal gestational period. This child is now ready to live outside of the mother’s womb. Therefore, 40 weeks in a mother’s womb is a period of complete physical development and in the spiritual 40 represents Testing and Truth. Please take note of all the stages we go through in the Womb of our Holy Heavenly Father. When the birth has taken place, and you’ve been further (molded, prodded, pruned, positioned and developed, tested, tried, and triumphant whereby God can be glorified in you, through you and because of His Love for you; then Kingdom kicks in.
A desert place could be your job, marriage, children, finances, friends, and most importantly your relationship with Christ. When you find yourself in the first stage of the first trimester of being in the Father’s Womb it doesn’t matter how old you are nor does God care about your degrees or your knowledge. He’s preparing you for another level of dependency upon Him. Ask me how I know?
Did you know you could be in a desert place for years and still grow? Note: the Holy Spirit wants to use the parable about the sower snatching the word from us. We are dangerous to the adversary when we are equipped with the Word written on the table of our hearts. The enemy in no wise wants you to get the revelation knowledge that comes from being in “Desert Places”. It’s in those times when I can hear the Spirit of the Lord say “Victoria, flesh and blood did not reveal this to you”. Does anybody besides myself truly want to hear from God Himself? If you do, you can’t escape your desert place. In desert places God may speak in ways you’re not familiar with; He may ask you to do things you’ve never done; He may tell you to say things you’ve never said and that’s God. But I guarantee in that desert place, you will hear with a clarity that will build your faith like never before (which is the whole point of the desert place).
I remember when I was in a desert place several years ago and God spoke to me in Hebrew. Wow, my God in Heaven. I can’t even explain what that did for my spirit man and how it further helped me to exercise my faith. At the time, I was ministering to a Jewish woman about Jesus. And God used her to interpret this Hebrew word that in my ignorance (at the time) I thought was Chinese.
In a vision I saw a writing on the wall. I saw a beautiful gray brick wall with a word written in the center of the wall in huge white lettering as follows: C H A I
The interpretation of C H A I is celebration beyond life; it also represents the number 18. C H A I is a great thang. God sent this revelation in the year 1992 while experiencing a desert place in relation to my desire to be loved by a physical man. This is now 2004 and God has not yet manifested the promise of a Kingdom Man because in the deserted place you’ve got to believe God no matter what you don’t see. Hebrews 11:1 states “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen”. Please be aware that the enemy will attempt to use your desires to detain your spiritual growth. Also recognize that the enemy can plague you with you own desire, if you allow the desire to become an idol (and keep in mind God is a Jealous God). Our focus should always be on the up building of the Kingdom of God (Matthew 6:33) and not the external variables. We must forever keep in mind that we in and of ourselves can do nothing without Christ. Philippians 4:13 clearly states – I can do all things through Christ that strengtheneth me. Even in this assurance of God’s Word we must still remain humble. The Lord showed me that through my weakness and humility He is glorified. In the desert place God will show you who you are not! So many times, I thought, to myself, Lord, “By George I think I’ve Got It”! And the Lord in His infinite wisdom would show me how far off from a thing I really was.
