Minister Brent DeVon Bailey is the youngest son of William and Marcia Bailey. He was born August 3, 1975 in Winston-Salem, N.C. Brent graduated from North Forsyth High School in June 1993. On June 28, 1996 God joined him together with the former Keisha Phillips, and they have one son Joshua DeVon Bailey. From the time Brent was born into this world, he demonstrated great potential. It was evident that God had blessed him with great ability. Brent’s innate abilities would allow him to excel most of his childhood life with very little effort. However, there came a time when Brent would be required to apply himself, which he chose not to do at the time. As God would have it, “to whom much is given, much is required.” Around the age of sixteen Brent began to make decisions that would lead him down a path toward destruction. But thank God He is a God of a second chance. Minister Bailey is currently filling in as a supply pastor for the Parks Grove Baptist Church in North Wilkesboro, N.C. He is also pursuing his bachelor’s degree in theology at Vintage Bible College in Winston-Salem, N.C. My Testimony: On March 26, 1999, I made the most important decision of my life when I totally surrendered my life unto the Lord and was born again into the Kingdom of God. A definite change took place in my life and continues to be performed unto this day. To God be the Glory! I believe that what happened to me was necessary for me. It is an oxymoron, but I had to be locked up in order to be set free. I am amazed when I realize just how far the Lord has brought me. I have discovered that Jesus is the ultimate Deliverer, because only Jesus can deliver an individual from themselves. Minister Bailey has often been asked, “How do you know the Lord has called you to preach?” To which he responds, “I know exactly how the Apostle Paul felt when he said, ‘Woe is me if I preach not the gospel’” If I don’t preach, then I’ll have no peace. This is God’s irrevocable gift that He has given to me. |
