Bertha Robinson Reels


Bertha Robinson Reels is a member of Fountain Baptist Church in Summit New Jersey where her pastor is Rev. J. Michael Sanders. Bertha is married to brother Earl Reels who supports the ministry that God has placed in her care. She is the proud mother of James Robinson and grandmother of Sonaya Robinson. Bertha labors in the vineyard by evangelizing, through street witnessing, visiting the hospitals and conducting Christian services within the prisons. She is the founder and president of Reach Prison Ministry where she ministers the word of God to men and women who are incarcerated and substance dependent. Her purpose is to take the word of God to the many men and women who are behind prison walls. Once a month she conducts Christian services at Talbot Hall assessment and treatment facility where she works as a substance abuse counselor. Through this anointed ministry hundreds of men and women have accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. Bertha has received her Masters degree in Human Services from Lincoln University in Philadelphia. She will also seek a double doctorate by attending Copella University to obtain a PhD. in counseling and Anderson seminary for a doctorate in Christian Counseling. Bertha is a poetess of the gospel and has written poems for several individuals including Apostles, Pastors, Evangelists, and Mayors. She has written poems for Patti Labelle and the late Glenn D. Cunningham who was the first African American male appointed to the position of United States Marshall by president Bill Clinton. Bertha also wrote a poem for Martin Luther King, III and the poem was presented to him at the Hudson County jail in Kearny, New Jersey. The poem was written as a tribute to his father the late great Martin Luther King Jr. Her poems are also included in the American Anthology of poems. To God be the Glory.
